A drive to win is something that most people can relate to, but only a select few can execute it on a regular basis. The ability to charge to the head of the pack, maintain a lead or even challenge for it is an accomplishment in itself (regardless of the level of racing).

For Aimus Peckham, winning is no longer an aspiration. It is a reality. It no longer presents itself as a hurdle to be overcome, it exists as a very probably result every time he throws his leg over his 4 TwoTwo Racing endorsed KTM SX 65 (Backed by Steelson Plant Ltd.). The expectation for Aimus would weigh heavy on the shoulders of most, but so far in 2019 the podium finishes have been rolling in; the points he has accumulated so far will grant him a degree of longevity to his season. Whether deliberate or not, Aimus’ approach to the Championships he is competing in, reflects maturity and perspective on his riding week in, week out.
Aimus’ Credentials:
Early on Aimus established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the national circuit; to date his most acclaimed achievement is taking 2nd overall in the final championship standings at the 2017 ACU British Premier Cup (Sponsored by Judd), in the Auto Class. His closing year on the Auto also witnessed him taking another 2nd overall at the DEP Auto Challenge, as well as 3rd overall at the French MX Master Kids.
Aimus’ pioneering season on the 65 however, was not presented with same level of fortune. Quickly adapting the size and manual transmission of the 65, Aimus was prohibited by a number of accolades throughout the year. The most devastating of which was a broken leg. Despite this, Aimus was still able to salvage some decent results and ascertain the final podium step in the EKSSC Junior (65cc) Championship.
Aimus currently sits with a comfortable lead in the EKSSC 2019 Junior Championship, looking set for a good outcome at the end of the season. He is also competing in the EASSC 2019 Summer Championship, along with the Bridgestone British Masters. The opening round of the Bridgestone did not deliver a preferred set of results for the #17 machine; following a roller coaster of racing and finding himself having to charge through the pack at Culham to recover some respectable points, Aimus now sits just outside the top ten at 13th in the championship standings.
X-CAST Media’s 2019 Predictions:
Throughout his racing career Aimus has shown resilience and consistency in all areas of his racing. We expect Aimus to improve on his results at the Bridgestone British Masters for the duration of the season, as he looks to only improve on the form that he has achieved thus far in 2019. Having watched this kid hit jumps at Park Gate MX that even adults aren’t piecing together, he definitely stands out in the 65cc class as one to watch in the future! It would not surprise us if Aimus rounds of the 2019 season with a Championship to his name, no matter where it comes from. We look forward to seeing how he progresses and wish him every success in the future!
