Dirt Hub’s resident test rider and Team Green Kawasaki racer Dylan Woodcock made his first-ever Monster Energy Supercross 250 Main Event in Houston last night.

Dylan’s last visit to the states saw him narrowly miss out on the coveted main event on a number of occasions. Woodcock looked a more composed rider this time out though and after just missing out in the heat race, he rode super smooth and calculated race to win the LCQ and gain his spot behind the Main Event start gate.  Clutch issues in the Main caused a DNF but it was a fantastic achievement to get that far and let’s hope he can do that again Tuesday night and earn his first-ever FIM World Supercross Championship points.

On his Social Media Dylan said “Made the main tonight witch was an amazing feeling, but brunt out my clutch after winning the lcq so I didn’t get to finish the main event ?. Felt pretty good in the heat missed out by 1 spot trying to make a pass. Onto Tuesday ?”

With Max Anstie out with injury, the lone Brit in the 450’s was Dean Wilson.  Deano started the day with a bang recording the fastest time in free practice, and a good heat race saw him with a decent gate pick for the main.  In a hugely stacked field, Dean finished 12th saying on his social media “H-1 is done. Started the day off p-1 in free practice which doesn’t mean anything but make you feel good? Main was hectic with bad start & carnage in such a deep field only could get P-12. Not what I want but we try again on Tuesday. Thank you all for supporting!”

Dylan Woodcock and Micky Carter of California Motocross Holidays will be our guests on Monday (18th January) nights Live “Dirty Torque” Show which will be shown at 8pm GMT on our Facebook and You Tube pages where you can ask them both questions. So make sure you tune in for that one.
