Wildcard for Walsh & Revo Seven Kawasaki at Cardiff World Supercross round!

Revo Seven Kawasaki’s Dylan Walsh has received a wildcard entry to sport his #53 plate at Round One of the new FIM World Supercross Championship at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. No stranger to the SX arena, Dylan competed in the 2022 Monster Energy West Coast Supercross series for Revo Seven Kawasaki.

Words by Ben Rumbold

In his debut season he impressed, finishing 19th in the series despite competing in only five of the nine rounds due to an injury sustained prior to the sixth round. In his last three Main Events he placed 11th twice and then 12th at Glendale. The team are already preparing for the 2023 series where Dylan will ride alongside a new American teammate.

A top ten 250 SX rider, soon to be announced, will join Dylan on the KX250 for the team named Revo Grindstone Kawasaki, competing in all nine rounds starting on the 8th of January at Anaheim.

Team Manager Mark Yates says: “Both Dylan and the team are pleased to have received the WSX invitation, and with the event just a week before the team leave for the USA to start training for 2023, the timing is perfect. It’s going to be interesting to see how the World Supercross series stacks up and compares with AMA Supercross and it’s great to see an indoor event of this magnitude again in the UK.”

Walsh himself says: “I am really excited to get a wildcard entry for Round 1 of the WSX in Cardiff. It’s pretty much a home race for myself and the team so I’m looking forward to getting out there on my Revo KX250, experiencing this new championship and getting a good starting point before heading into the new 2023 Supercross Season.”
