Kurt’s stellar career saw him finishing as the runner up four times in the GP’s, as well as winning 13 World Motocross Grands Prix and 7 ACU British National Championships. It’s safe to say the highlight of his career was being a member of the victorious 1994 British Motocross des Nations squad.
His racing success then moved stateside where he moved with his work. In 2004 and 2009 Nicoll won the Supermoto AMA titles. He also won the AMA National Vet Championship in Endurocross in 2011 and 2012 where later that year he was crowned 2012 AMA Vet Racer of the year.
He worked for KTM as their Director of Racing from 1998 until 2009. Racing runs deep in his DNA as he is the son of former BSA factory rider, Dave Nicoll.
Kurt currently runs his own motocross vacation company, Kurt Nicholl Champion MX Vacations which is based in Temecula, California and are also a sponsor of this event.
Kurt will be racing in the plus 50 class on a KX500 built by his brother and long time mechanic Aaron Nicoll
The 2023 event is shaping up to be bigger and better than the already hugely successful inaugural event.
