Team manager, former factory Yamaha USA rider Doug Dubach will be on hand to oversee the team entry for the weekend.
The team consisting of Ryan Villopoto, Mike Brown and Zach Osborne will return to the iconic Wiltshire Grand Prix circuit on August 24,25,26,27 and 28th.
With the USA team having won in 2022 they are issued the numbers 1, 2 and 3 for this years extravaganza.
Ryan Villopoto is is a nine time AMA champion and multi time Team USA MXDN team rider (just google buds creek MXdN – his performance on a pro circuit KXF 250 was legendary). RV is simply one of the sports greatest riders. He will turn 35 this year and he retired from full time racing in 2015 at the age of 28 years old-he is now contracted to Yamaha as brand ambassador and is putting in a lot more hours on the bike for the 2023 event. He will be riding a Pro Circuit tuned 2002 Yamaha YZ 250 built by Doc Wob with John Giffard on the spanners all weekend so he is in more than capable hands.
Mike Brown is an AMA champion and is a well known journeyman racer having crafted his art all over the world. He will be 51 years old at this years event and anyone who has witnessed “Brownie” on the gas will attest to how unreal it is for a guy in his fifties to go this fast and be this aggressive. Mike is a born racer and puts everything into his racing, it is a thing of beauty to watch. Mike will be racing a Pro Circuit tuned Kawasaki KX 250 built by DocWob to be a replica of his championship winning pro Circuit KX 125 (which incidentally will be on display on the Briggs Commercials stand). Mike will have his regular mechanic Tony Neary on the spanners all weekend so no concerns there.
Zach Osbourne is a four time AMA national MX and SX champion and multi time team USA Nations team rider. Zach is contracted to Yamaha in the states and he currently races the GNCC series so he will be putting in a lot of seat time prior to the event. He is no stranger to the UK as he raced for the Dixon Yamaha squad for a few years and has a very strong fan base in the UK as well as a good amount of family and friends who he stays with. Zach will be racing a 2002 Yamaha YZ 250 built by DocWob and his 2022 mechanic Sonny Mae will be on the spanners again. Zac will be running the heaviest plate at the event – the big number 1.
Make no mistake, these three guys are coming back with one mission in mind: to take home the number 1 plate again!
