Round 1 of the 2025 British Quad Championship which was promoted by Nora MX at Warmingham Lane and in association with Zip Racing was a cracker, and the level of racing didn’t disappoint.

Harry Walker started the season where he left it, going at a really good pace and taking 3/3 hole shots and 3/3 race wins, securing him maximum points for the first round.
Among the front-runners, Jamie Morgan was looking seriously fast, but in a cruel twist of fate, an ECU issue in Race 1 forced him to DNF. Despite the setback, he bounced back with two impressive 2nd place finishes in the remaining races, proving his speed and determination.
Dafydd Davies was another rider showing blistering pace throughout the day, but unfortunately, he ran into mechanical gremlins that affected his results. His raw speed, however, reminded everyone that he’ll be a force to reckon with in the rounds to come.
These unexpected setbacks opened the door for some new faces, Paul Edgar and Carl Bunce, to make their mark on the championship leaderboard. Several riders stepped up with incredible consistency and performance to secure podium positions, demonstrating just how deep the talent pool is this year.
One of the standout stories of the day was Paul Edgar, who was on course for a strong overall result until a dramatic crash just before the finish line of Race 2. In true racer spirit, Edgar pushed his bike across the line, salvaging valuable points. He and his team worked quickly to repair the quad, and he came back strong in the final race, ultimately securing a well-earned overall 2nd.
Looking Ahead
With Round 1 of both championships now in the books, it’s clear that the 2024 season is going to be one to watch. From dramatic comebacks to mechanical heartbreaks and emerging talents, the action at Warmingham Lane had it all.
