Triumph Factory Racing’s Jordon Smith endured a tough night at the seventh round of the 2025 AMA Supercross series, the Triple Crown format event in Arlington, Texas. Unlike in 2024, Arlington’s AT&T Stadium hosted the 250SX West series this year, with Jordon Smith resuming his bid for the championship lead.
Qualifying fourth, Smith looked set for success in the Triple Crown format event – the same format that led to Triumph’s maiden AMA Supercross victory in Arizona.
Feeling positive heading into the night’s racing, Smith stormed into the lead in race one from a third place start and looked superb. Smooth and aggressive on a track that proved unpredictable in places, Smith wasted no time in moving his way to the front of the race, passing early race leader Jo Shimoda.

A small mistake temporarily dropped Smith back into second, before he moved to the front of the race once again. Unfortunately, with just a handful of laps remaining, Smith suffered a hard crash in the whoops, which forced him to withdraw from the event.
Suffering a minor concussion in the incident, as well as a possible rib fracture, Smith did not compete in the night’s second and third races. Scoring no points at AT&T Stadium, Smith has dropped to fifth in the 250SX West championship standings, 24 points behind the new championship leader.
The 250SX East division will resume at the famous Daytona International Speedway next weekend, March 1, where Austin Forkner will continue his charge towards the 250SX East podium aboard his TF 250-X.
Triumph Factory Racing entered the seventh race of 2025 AMA Supercross with a unique livery attached to the TF 250-X as the event adopted a special theme to honour the men and women who served in the military.
Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America: “Jordon was riding very well throughout the day and was having a great race. He was on track to win the first race and would have been hard to stop. Unfortunately, he had a crash in the whoops with two laps to go, which resulted in a slight concussion and a possible rib fracture. This will be a very small bump in the road for Jordon. The team will do everything we can to get him healthy and back on track for the next 250SX West race.”
