After a long and successful career, much of which has been spent with Kawasaki, 2022 MX1 British Motocross Champion Tommy Searle is returning to the fold for 2023, signing with GTCI Revo Kawasaki to compete in the MX1 series.
The multiple British MX1 Champion began his career on a Kawasaki KX85, enjoying a very successful youth career before climbing through the ranks to take his first MX1 title in 2016. Now, Tommy is returning to Kawasaki power and will be looking to repeat that success in 2023.
Tommy’s signing completes a strong lineup for the GTCI Revo Kawasaki team, with Dylan Walsh set to compete in the MX2 class and also the West Coast Supercross series! The team will also support Billy Askew who will campaign the KX250 in the British Championship Rookie class.
Tommy Searle:
“I’m very happy to be back on a Kawasaki, a bike that I have had the best years of my career on! A huge part in making it happen was Nick at GTCI, so I’m very thankful for that and together with Mark at Revo, we have a great outfit for 2023. After spending a day on the bike with the team this week, I already feel very at home.”
Mark Yates, Revo Kawasaki Team Owner:
“We are really pleased to have Tommy on the team. We’ve discussed it over the last two years, and now we’ve finally put it together with the help of our new sponsor GTCI and Kawasaki UK. Tommy recently tested a race prepared Revo Kawasaki KX450 and said he felt back home on the green machine and comfortable straight away.
We have a little bit to do to get the suspension to his liking and a little bit on engine calibration, but he felt it was good enough to race out of the box! As a team, we are stoked for 2023.”
Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:
“We have had a lot of success working with Tommy in the past, and he has such a rich history with Kawasaki and Team Green. We are very excited to have him back on a green machine and are confident that with the highly experienced Revo team behind him, we can all be fighting for another British title in 2023!”
