Oozing confidence, we travelled together and set up camp on Friday night before dark. Saturday was a Nett club meet, where Harry learnt the track with a win on this PAR practice bike in moto 1. Sitting out of moto 2, he took the win in moto 3 just shaking down the 2023 Race bike for Sunday.

Riding both bikes was a godsend Saturday as that evening we configured the 2023 PAR race bike to match the exact same steering geometry as the practice bike as it was very much to Harrys preference.

Sunday was a good day weather wise, but with the unfortunate lack of qualifying times the grid position was deemed from championship positions (p2).

Starting with a 10 point deficit from round 1, due to a plastic throttle issue, it was going to be a tough weekend to claw back all these points in a single weekend.

Ultimately, in Hindsight from the ‘Gate drop’ there was nothing but bad luck which could have stood in the way of Harry. He concluded with 3 moto wins leading every lap throughout the weekend. A total masterclass from the majority of spectators viewpoint, he never put a wheel out of place, clawed back 13 of the 10 points needed, to now lead the Official British championship by a mere 3 points.

Team Boss and Harry’s Dad Stuart Walker said of the weekend, “I couldn’t be a prouder Dad and Mechanic. His total dedication, work commitment and effort enthuses me and it has eventually all paid off for him.

Our new Baldwin Motor set up for 2023 is proving formidable, as for the rest, you all know all you are ? ‘If it aint broke don’t fix it. What a gift on the eve of my __ th Birthday ! ……. Thank you Harry !! “

The weekend was also a true first statistically, with Harry winning all three moto’s emphatically, and taking the Overall for the weekend some 6 years after taking his first ever ACU British Meeting win at 18 Yrs old in Deanmoor in 2018.

Now with the Championship lead, it series moved on to Round 3 hosted by Nora club in two weeks time at Brookthorpe.
