The final round of the EMX Sparks British Masters series took place this weekend at Pembrey MX, delivering an unforgettable weekend of racing action. With exciting battles, dramatic late-race incidents, and a competitive spirit flowing throughout the event, it was a fitting end to what has been a remarkable season.

Race Report and Images by EMX Sparks

The riders pushed their limits in every race, with constant thrills and spills across all categories. Even the occasional downpour during the final races and presentations couldn’t dampen the atmosphere, as the participants and spectators alike enjoyed the culmination of an incredible series.

We also want to send our best wishes to Milo Williams, who had a big crash and injured his shoulder. Milo was in contention for race wins and had been improving throughout the series, so we hope to see him back on the track soon.

Race Highlights

12` E Drive Balance Bike

In the 3-4 year old category, Teddy Roberts once again showcased his exceptional talent, taking the race win and becoming the new champion in convincing style. In the 3-6 open category, Seb Summerill was on fire all weekend, leading the charge in his standout orange gear. With fast starts and relentless pace, Seb secured the overall win. Henri Lewis was equally impressive, taking a couple of race wins to finish second overall, while Tommi Lewis rounded out the podium in third. The competition was fierce, with battles unfolding all weekend as riders fought for every position.

12.5` Oset (3-4 year old)

The 3-4 year old category was a spectacle to watch, as Cellan Rees dominated throughout the weekend. His yellow Mohawk helmet was a familiar sight at the front of the pack as he sailed to a commanding overall victory, cementing his championship win in style. Behind him, Eden Davies rode consistently and kept Rees in check, ready to pounce on any mistakes, securing second overall. Chase Dunstan completed the podium in third, putting in a strong performance.

16` E Drive Balance Bike

This class delivered some of the most exciting racing of the weekend, with Rafe Harwood and Gunner Day battling bar-to-bar from the start of each race. Harwood narrowly took the overall win by just three points over Day, who had been a formidable competitor throughout the series. Brad Carless rode with consistent form to claim third overall, with strong performances from Henry Davey and Harry Hughes, who placed fourth and fifth respectively. Every race was closely contested, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats as these youngsters showcased incredible skill and determination.

16` Wild Cards E Drive Balance Bike

A new addition for this weekend was the Wild Cards E Drive Balance Bike class, which featured a full lineup and delivered fantastic racing. Theo Hancock emerged victorious, riding with flair and sporting one of the coolest mirrored lenses around. Emy Gardner held her own against the boys, putting in superb starts and riding to an impressive second overall. Cian Bradshaw was among the fastest all weekend but struggled to keep his bike upright, finishing third overall. It was thrilling to watch, with riders like Seb Carr in green camo gear and Parker Jay Lock-Denny pushing hard throughout the races.

18` E Drive Balance Bike (9-12 age group)

In the 9-12 age group, Jake Carless delivered a smooth and consistent performance, taking the overall win. It was also fascinating to watch Olivia Jones, who secured second place, giving the boys a run for their money and battling all weekend alongside Mia Jones, who was racing in the 5-8 age category. These two were a joy to watch, pushing each other every lap.

18` E Drive Balance Bike (5-8 age group)

In the younger 5-8 category, Oscar Duckworth was the star of the show, consistently fast all weekend despite a few falls. His determination saw him battle back to take the overall win over Parker Herbert, with Hunter King securing third. Mia Jones had another strong showing, finishing fourth, despite not quite carrying over her blistering form from the previous round at Monster Mountain.

PW50

The PW50 class, as always, provided some of the closest racing of the weekend. Charlie Furness and Ethan Thomas were locked in a fierce battle, trading race wins throughout the weekend. Ultimately, Charlie just edged out Ethan by six points to take the overall victory. Ronnie Evans was a model of consistency, securing third place overall. Logan Caplin and Billy Plummer, both sporting eye-catching Mohawk helmets, were in the thick of the action, with Logan finishing fourth and Billy close behind in sixth. A special mention goes to Tommi Jones, who was plagued by bike issues on Sunday but still managed to secure fourth overall thanks to his strong Saturday performance.

E Mini

In the E Mini class, Charlie Needs made an emphatic comeback after a tough round at Monster Mountain. He took a perfect six wins from six races to dominate the weekend. Grayson Blake Martin was steady all weekend, securing second overall and keeping his championship aspirations alive with consistent rides. Cooper Dunstan rode brilliantly to take third, and Bear Todd showed grit to finish fifth overall after a weekend of hard-fought races. The determination of these young riders was evident, and they delivered some of the weekend’s most inspiring performances.

E3 Mx Auto

The largest class of the series, the E3 Mx Auto, featured intense racing from start to finish. Kaylum Clark bounced back on Sunday, taking three race wins to secure the overall victory after Rafe Harwood had dominated the Saturday races. Harwood settled for second overall after being narrowly beaten by Clark. The ever-improving Maddox Knifton was just one point off Harwood, finishing third overall. Further down the leaderboard, Hunter Dunston and Cooper Swan battled it out for fourth and fifth, with the hard-charging Archie Gill wowing the crowd with blistering practice times and raw speed, though mistakes kept him from challenging for the top spots.

E5 Mx Auto

This class saw some technical difficulties as several riders struggled with battery life, but once adjustments were made, the racing remained top-tier. Noah Brown and Oakley Jones were the stars of the weekend, sharing race wins. Brown eventually took the overall victory by just three points over Jones, while Carson Robinson maintained his smooth riding style to secure third overall.

E65 Mx Auto

Frank Wallis continued his unbeaten run, securing another first-place finish and winning all four rounds of the series. Despite a broken chain in one race, he was untouchable. Nicolas Lange and Ortus Alexander Simons completed the top three, with Lange impressing with his strong starts in both this class and the E5 class.

This year’s EMX Sparks British Masters series was a resounding success, with each round delivering high voltage action and showcasing the incredible talent of the next generation of motocross riders. Huge thanks go out to the riders, their parents, and the entire track team, including the marshals and medics who ensured the event ran smoothly.
