This weekend’s AMCA British Motocross Championship Round 2 which was set for Brookthorpe has been Cancelled.
The AMCA released the following statement announcing the cancellation:
“The AMCA regrettably made the decision to cancel the Championship due to be held at Brookthorpe this weekend for a number of reasons.
The paddock is under water, at a recent event that was wet, vehicles were towed out of the venue by heavy machinery which has made certain parts of the paddock very soft.
There were a lot of complaints locally about mud on the road following that event and the AMCA did not want to contribute to this already sensitive situation and thus expose our club and officials to the threat of prosecution.
The Championship committee are discussing the cancellation and considering what options it has available, once a decision has been made a statement will be issued.”
