The event sees riders on classic machines powering up the big hill in a full chat race to the top in front of hordes of spectators.
The Hill, the races!
The hill is 440 yards (1/4 mile) and reaches almost 1:1.5 near the top where there is a challenging jump known as “the pimple”. Riders compete 4 at a time from a standing start – the first two over the finish line progress to the next round.
The classes
There are 3 classes plus the Allcomers class, in which the full entry competes against each other.
The new Twinshock classes will now cater for vintage Japanese and Europeans machines up to 1981, plus the entry will still include early rigid framed machines, competitive replica Triumph, BSA and European 2 stroke classic scramblers.
Special Guest
If you were a fan of British motocross during the 1980s you may well know the name Rob Andrews. If you were an avid follower of the 500cc world motocross championship from 1985 to 1990 you definitely should!
Rob will be on the hill promoting his book, so please go visit him
