The Revvis put the power down on Portland! 2024 Revvi on the Rock Cup – Race Report
Unlike a year previous, the sun shone down on the racers and their families at the 2024 staging of the Revvi on the Rock Cup for Electric Balance Bikes, which took place at Grove Farm on the Isle of Portland in Dorset.

A fantastic crowd gathered to watch the little racers, and there was a great atmosphere cheering them on as they diced and dualled around the Grove Farm circuit.

The Revvi 12″ 3 years of age class saw Jenson Wood put on a masterclass, winning all six races over the weekend to take the overall victory. Hunter Brierly kept Jenson on his toes, though, and would end the weekend in second with a full set of second-place finishes. Jaxon Jones rounded out the top 3 with some tremendous riding, just edging out the battling Ronnie Marchant, who would end his weekend in fourth. Teddy Roberts fought hard for a super fifth; Cooper Kempin had some awesome results for sixth, Blake Ford rattled off the laps for seventh, Hudson Lidsey had a fantastic eighth; Louie Langdon was cheered on by the home crowd to finish a good ninth, while little Cobe Dunstan made it a fantastic debut weekend in tenth.

Over in the Revvi 12″ 4-5 years of age category Victor Konarzewski was a racer on a mission and took the full set of race wins for the overall. His great friend and rival Gunnar Day was always close behind, though, and again looked smooth and stylish in second. Carter Goodwill-Bagan has shown massive improvements this year and stuck his 12″ Revvi on the box with a splendid third.

Just behind Carter was Walter Shingler-Hulme, who was always smiling and always trying, who finished a great fourth. Oscar Wild saved his best until last with a superb third in the final race, which secured him fifth overall, ahead of Oscar Stevens, who put the power down for a super sixth. Ronnie Gardner stormed to a nice seventh, and Elijah Carr had a fantastic first-ever event and won, alongside his twin brother Sebastian, the Moto-Twenty Five Little Hero award.

The always-stacked Revvi 16″ 3-4 years of age class saw Rory Ritzka have a fabulous weekend, looking smooth and stylish in the qualifying heats before taking the chequers in both finals to claim the Revvi on the Rock title in this class for 2024.
Jimmy Taylor, Auley Luxton, and Rory Davis were all tied on 50 points, so countback came into play. With a second in Sunday’s final, Jimmy would claim an epic second place ahead of Auley, who notched up a superb third, and Rory, who had a great fourth. Two riders already mentioned in the 12” class were next: Carter Goodwill-Bagan in fifth and Walter Shingler-Hulme in sixth.
Just missing out on the top six but riding fantastically was Tommy Brace in seventh, Lucas Gill who had a busy day and a great eighth, James Rock nailed an excellent ninth, while Apollo Newton rounded out the top ten with some awesome racing.

Vinnie Legg rode well for eleventh, Reuben Scrivens kept it pinned for twelfth, Ethan Rudd rode his socks off for thirteenth, Cooper Kempin landed a great fourteenth, Billy Plummer had a superb final on Saturday would end the weekend in fifteenth, Remy Davis turned on the style in Sixteenth and Presley Stock showed great courage to ride for the first ever time and come seventeenth.

Always one of the most competitive classes, the Revvi 16″ 5-year-olds was another stacked category, so, like the 16 3-4-year-olds would have heats and finals on both days, with the points from the two finals deciding the overall positions.
In a switcheroo from the 12″ 4-5-year-old class, Gunnar Day would claim a majestic victory with wins in both finals over 12″ winner Victor Konarzewski, who had some epic rides for second. Junior Garbutt had a standout weekend with some remarkable rides for third, edging out Aliyas Westwick for the final podium spot. Aliyas had some super riders for fourth, while Ezra Guyton had to work hard after a few falls and never gave up to finish a fantastic fifth.

Rafe Harwood got among the awards with some mighty fine racecraft in sixth, Oscar Wild was always in the mix with a great seventh. Tommy White looked good, having just stepped up into this group and took a super eighth, Henry Davey was full chat for ninth, and Zara Jackson fought hard for a good tenth.
Midas Jackson in eleventh, Logan Thornton in twelfth and Theo Langdon in thirteenth had the local fans cheering them on and they would all have some epic battles between them. Well done, guys, great racing!
Sebastian Carr had an excellent debut in fourteenth, Cooper James Mathers rode well on Saturday for fifteenth, and Reggie Rushton put in some fine rides on Sunday for sixteenth.

There was plenty of drama in the Revvi 16″ 6-year-old category. Grayson Blake-Martin rattled off four race victories to start off with, but falls and crashes hampered his results in the final two, and it was nip and tuck if he would be able to get the job done and claim the win, but in the end his cushion was big enough, and he would be crowned the champion, but only just with Parker Herbert riding superbly all weekend long, ending his few days with second overall just two points behind Grayson.
Creeping up on the lead duo with two epic rides to finish Sunday was Brodie Holden, who has shown he will be a surefire contender for honours in this class for the remainder of the year. Aurora Young would just miss out on the top three due to Brodie putting the hammer down in the final race, but she still finished a superb fourth with two second places under her belt.

Martha Gill had a mixture of results, but her races where she was duking it out at the sharp end saw her claim a good fifth, tied on points with Miya Stevens, who rode excellently in sixth. Louie Smith, with Sonic the Hedgehog in tow, ended his weekend with a fine seventh. Alfie Puddy, who had a great third in race one, claimed a good eighth, and Renesmae Huggins battled well all weekend long for an awesome ninth.

There was no stopping Nate Sharp in the Revvi 16″ 7-8 years of age category as he stormed to a maximum set of six wins for the overall victory. Emy Gardner had an awesome weekend and would claim a super second, just keeping Quinn Howieson at bay in a tremendous third. Louisa Mardell kept the hammer down for a fine fourth, and Stanley Sewell joined the party on Sunday to land a great fifth.

The new Revvi 18″ class one again served up racing from the top drawer. The 6-8 years of age and 9-11 years of age classes raced together but were scored separately, which made for some epic battles throughout the field.
Sharing the race wins in the 6-8 years of age class were Stephen James Peters and Oscar Duckworth with 3 apiece and some outstanding duals were had between the two. Taking the win overall, though, despite feeling poorly on Sunday, was Stephen, who showed fantastic style on his way to victory. Oscar may have finished second, but he pulled off on Saturday the ride of the season, coming from the back after a fall to take the win by a nose at the finish flag. Well done Oscar.
Raife Western made his debut in this category and showed his class with a great third overall, with Alfie James always in the mix and battling hard for a good fourth. Charlie Young had some superb starts and improved as the weekend went on to claim a fantastic fifth. The action-packed style of Ortus Alexander Simons always entertains and would take home a great sixth. Vivienne Western improved as the weekend went on for a fine seventh, and Miya Stevens made an impressive debut in this class for eighth.

There may only have been three riders in the 9-11 year old class but that doesn’t tell the full story as being mixed in with the 6-8 year old class, they were always in the thick of the action and in among plenty of battles. Coming through with the title with a full set of victories was Seth Johnson, with some superb riding. Hallie Huggins enjoyed her weekend and rode fantastically for second and while Brooke Puddy had a big smile on her face throughout and rode great for third.
