The weather gods were on the side of the Revvi’s, and the grim weather forecast didn’t materialise which meant a great day of dry and fun racing happened with plenty of smiles from the little riders and their families.
The Revvi 12″ 3 years of age class was stacked and the biggest of the event with 28 racers entered. The action in this class too was out of the top drawer. Four riders went into the final with race wins, but in a dramatic final Harley Patel took the chequers to after a titanic tussle with Lucas Gill who finished second and Harvey Nicol in third. Harvey fought through the pack and took the lead at one point but a mistake pushed him back to third and he wasn’t able to get passed the lead duo. Awesome racing guys!
Maddox Buckley took two wins from the heats an finished a great fourth in the A final ahead of Tommy George who rode well for fifth, Jasper Cook took a solid sixth, Cooper Jax had a good seventh, Jenson Wood was eighth, Tommy Wood was ninth and Hunter Briarly was tenth.
In the Consolation B Final the chequers went the way of Tommy Ashmore, in the number 2 spot was Mason Cooke, Jesse Sheldon was third, Lennon Wise was fourth, Rory Lennon passed the chequers in fifth, Ruby Keenan was in the mix in sixth, Pheobe Golding was seventh, Charlie Denniss was eighth, Theo Morley was ninth and Zach Elliott.
Two riders took to the line in the C Final with Tommy Pridmore taking the win ahead of Hayden Cordner.
In the 12″ 4-5 year old class the dualling duo of Stanley Scott and Blake Benson were at it once again battling wheel to wheel throughout the whole day. Stanley gained the top spot though with three wins to Blake’s one, with Blake sneaking his win on the line when Stanley fell on the finish jump just before crossing the line. Great racing guys!
It was also super close between Rhys Bennison and Ethan Thomas for the third and final podium spot which the pair tied on points but the third place went to Rhys in the end due to hime beating Ethan in the fourth and final race.
Behind Ethan in fifth was Acey Topliss, Tommy Pullen was sixth, Jake Coxon was seventh, Walter Shingler Hulme was eighth, Hunter Dunstan was ninth and Daniel Josiah Erskine was tenth.
12″ 3 year old winner Harley Patel would make his 16″ Standard 3-4 year old debut, but he would come up with some stiff opposition from some of the class regulars, including Louie Smith who snatched the win with two fantastic victories in his last two races. Harley and Louie were tied on points but Louie’s final race heroics would see the Cup heading home with him, Harley was second and the impressive Max James-Good who won race one on the podium in third. Zara Jackson made some super starts and was always at the sharp end and finished a superb fourth, Milo Collinson was another to make a tremendous debut in fifth, Ethan Rudd put in some great riders for sixth, while Rueben Scrivens took some tumbles early doors but always got back up and kept going and by doing so would win the Mototwenty5 Little Hero award. Baxter Randall would end the day in eighth and Hugo Tempest was ninth.
The 16″ Open 3-4 year old class was another jam packed one with heats and finals to contend with for these talented little racers. At the sharp end were the top three from the 12″ 4-5 year old class Stanley Scott, Blake Benson and Rhys Bennison. When it came down to the final it was Stanley who would once again stand on the top step but he had to pass a determined Blake to do so and Blake was on his tail to the chequers. Rhys was in close proximity for third too.
Oliver Harrington made a storming start in the final and would end the race in fourth, the stylish Jack Insley was fifth, Sophia O’Connell with onboard squirrel mascot fluffy was sixth, Tommy White battled hard for seventh, Eli Walton was eighth, Hugo Lloyd was ninth and Tommy Brace was tenth.
In the Consolation final Acey Topliss would keep Ethan Rudd at bay for the win, with George Fenwick in third.
There was some superfast racing in the 16″ Standard 5-6 year old class. Winning four races from four and riding excellent for the Revvi Cup win was Charlie Lister. It wasn’t always easy for Charlie but she found her way to the front each time keeping the talented duo of Milo Williams and Martha Gill behind her. Roman Natale was flying and would have been in contention for a podium if it wasn’t for a race three DNF and he would end the day in fourth. Dexter Arnold has improved tremendously and rode great for a well deserved fifth after tying on points with Lily Hawkins and Miley-Jai McGrotty who finished in sixth and seventh with some great racing between them. Alfie Puddy was back for more after his Portland visit and had an awesome day in Eighth, while Willa Randall rounded out the day after some super riding in ninth.
The 16″ Open 5-6 class always throws up some great action with race one no exception with Oscar Duckworth taking the chequers over Rubyn James. Rubyn though would notch up wins in the next three races to take the Revvi Cup victory ahead of Oscar who rode fantastically on the Apex track, with Beau Baker having some great races especially the final one for third overall and a spot on the podium. Richie Ginns was consistent all day long finishing the event in fourth ahead of Ronnie Denniss in fifth, Ethan Kitka sixth, Harley Cornwall in seventh, Willow Huskinson was eighth, Percy Hogg was ninth and Stanley Sewell was tenth.
Seth Johnson and Demi Denniss had some great tussles in the Revvi 16″ Open 6-8 class. Racing with the 5-6’s they were at the front of the pack in each race and dicing with their young rivals and with themselves and with three wins to one it was Seth who would take the Cup with Demi in second.
