Multiple world champion David Knight MBE took the overall victory in the stacked adult class, utilising the full venue to create a 10+ mile lap for the 3-hour race. Knight finished a lap clear of Gethin Humphreys, who was second, and Ricky Wiggins, who was third.

Meanwhile on the shorter course earlier in the day Jacob Bragg took the honours in the youth event and in Youth B, Preston Flynn won Youth A, whilst Harry Clayton took the win in the electric bike event.

Connor Watson was definitely the rider of the day, taking the early lead of the Youth race in a dominate performance around the MOD Driffield site. Towards the end of the race however it all went wrong with a substantial crash resulting in a quad bike ride to the ambulance.

At this point you’d think it would be game over…..

But in true hero fashion after a short period Connor returned to the track escorted by a travelling marshal to finish off his lap so he could claim some points only loosing a lap in the process still claiming 6th overall

Certainly a ride of a future mainstream champion!
