Round 1 of the DQR promoted British Quad XC Championship kicked off on Sunday, April 6th, at Coney Green, with a great turnout of 80+ riders in very hot, dry, dusty conditions.

The dry conditions in the run-up to the race made the track hard and rutty, and the soaring temperatures on the day made all the races a hard task. Expert Plus Rider Alex Bethell took the win from Zak Orchard, with Paul McConway in third.
In the Expert class, Joshua Waring took 1st, Freddie Robinson took 2nd in his first race in the class, and Chris Keitch took 3rd.
