The Doncaster Knight! 2022 Kensworth MXC Club Championship Round six – Race Report & Results

Kensworth Schoolboy Motocross Club headed to Doncaster Moto Parc for round six of their championship, this awesome track in the North East saw some great racing.

Hunter Groves and Harley-James Barrow went head to head in the Auto class, Barrow took the first Moto, Groves took the second. Barrow then took the last, but with a fifth place in the second Moto he handed the overall to Groves. Barrow took second with a great ride from Jimmy Ball to take the final podium step.

This was the last qualifying round of the ACU British Auto cup, congratulations to Hunter Groves, Preston Hubbard, George Hickinbottom, Harley-James Barrow, Tyler Moss and Jake Pridmore who will be heading to Warmington Lane to battle for the British title.

Blake Ward-Clarke showed his class yet again in small wheel 85 class with a 1-1-1 Solid racing from Travis Bixby saw him take the second podium spot, with Mason Care third.

In the Junior 65’s, Riley-Ray Barrow took the overall with a victorious 1-1-1 A great solid ride from Franky Donoghue saw him take second overall with Jimmy Boxall taking third.

In the schoolboy 125 class an awesome ride from Cody Spacagna saw him take first overall, as he warmed to the track throughout the day he just got better and better. Jake Brown took a great second overall with Kyron Carron third.

Lennox Dickinson yet again showed his class at another Kensworth meeting with a 1-1-1, this Irish lad was so smooth and a joy to watch. A great ride from Kai Brown saw him take the second podium place with Harvey Antrobus third.

In the Big Wheel 85 class Rocco Hands showed his dominance. Even with bike trouble in the last Moto, he was still able to secure the top podium step. This fast class saw a great consistent ride from Connor Williams to take the second podium place with Lewis Evans who took second place in two of the motos to take third.

In the fast under 35 class Alfie Jones dominated the first two motos, but unfortunately he went down on the start in the third. It was left to Rob Wood and Todd Ritchie to battle it out for the top.

Podium step and what a battle it was!! Wood finally got the better of Ritchie on lap 8 to take the lead and the overall. Ritchie took second with Daryl Wallis third.

In the Over 35 class, Darren Knight had a great day, showing his dominance on his two stroke in the over 35 class for a 1-1-1. Lee Larkin took the second podium spot, with Ben Street taking third.

In the Over 50’s class Stuart Milbourne took the first Moto, but Anthony Hilton came back strong throughout the day to take the overall. Milbourne took second with Phi West third.
