The 2023 Scottish Motocross Championship comes down to the wire!

The race to see whose name will be engraved on one of the oldest trophies in World Motocross, ‘The Donald Sinclair Trophy’ will play out over the next few weeks.

Words & Images: Scottish Motocross Championship

Seven riders in total have a shot at this title with just two rounds to go. Homeland hero John Adamson has worked his way into a commanding 58 point lead over Conrad Mewse after four rounds. After Adamson won the first round in the bottomless sand of Tain, both John and Conrad traded wins at round two. At round three Conrad close the gap to just 58 points with 3 wins, but it’s the battle behind that catches the eye.

Tristan Purdon has enjoyed his time in Scotland this year.

The gap from second to sixth, between Mewse, Brad Todd, Ben Edwards, Billy Mackenzie, and Tony Craig, is just ten points! South African Tristan Purdon is just a further ten points off sixth after finishing fourth in this years British Championship. Any one of seven riders could realistically snatch this title and with enormous series bonus cheques on offer from Safe Access Highland and injuries to third and fourth placed riders Brad Todd and Ben Edwards this title show down is not to be missed!

There is also a full complement of support classes to entertain you through a packed race weekend in the north of the country.  Go and check them out!
