After 11 years, the MX Nationals/Fastest 40 Motocross Championship has bid a fond farewell on their social media pages.
The championship kept the sport going in this country throughout Covid and introduced the first live stream for the sport in the UK. It has seen many memorable on and off-track moments throughout its duration, but with the sport in need of an overhaul at the top end and with founder Paul Irwin stepping into a new role as Series Director of the ACU British Motocross Championship and his Dad Neil focussing on the live streaming the time has come for the Championship to come to an end.
We would like to thank the MX Nationals/Fastest 40 team for all they have done for the sport in the UK, the memories and the innovations, and we look forward to seeing them driving the British Championship forward in 2025 and beyond.

“We take a moment to reflect on the past 11 years and wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey, from our first season as the MX Nationals to our final round as the Fastest 40 and the unforgettable memories we’ve created together, it has been an honour to organise and run these events alongside our dedicated team.
“As the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end.” It has been an exhilarating ride, and we couldn’t have achieved any of it without the unwavering support of our riders, teams, sponsors, fans, marshals, media, and our team. Your passion and enthusiasm have driven us to push the boundaries of what we thought possible, and we are eternally grateful.
“As we bid farewell to this era, we want to remind everyone that this is not goodbye. In 2025, you will see the entire team around the paddock, supporting the sport we love. Paul will take on a pivotal role as Series Director for the ACU British Championship. Neil has decided to step away from event organisation and concentrate on developing the live streaming platform.
“Thank you once again for your support over these incredible 11 seasons.”
