Teams selected for 2023 Team GB Junior MX World Championship

The 2023 65cc, 85cc and 125cc GB teams have been selected for the upcoming FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in Romania next month.

Riders of all abilities attended a successful TGBJW training/practice day at VIP Motocross, near Northampton yesterday, the 8th of June. It was a day of super-fast riding in which the stars of the future could display their race craft and skills in their respected classes.

It was a tough job for the selection panel to whittle down the huge number of registered riders from a highly-talented field, to just five per class. According to TGBJW Team Manager Dave Willet, “It was so difficult to make the choice as everyone was so close.”

At the end of the day, a selection was made and the following riders will be representing their country on the world stage at Romania on the 8th of July;

65cc
1. Casey Lister
2. Harley Marczak
3. Cohen Jagielski
4. Arthur King
5. Nixon Coppins

85cc
1. Drew Stock
2. Robbie Daly
3. Hayden statt
4. Alfie Geddes Green
5. Sonny Rooney

125cc
1. Reece Jones
2. Wal Beaney
3. Jake Walker
4. Tyla Hooley
5 Ollie Colmer

Further commenting on the Team GB riders, Willet said; “We want to congratulate the lucky riders who have earned their place in the team and wish them the best of luck. We know they will do us proud in Romania and are confident that our team will put together great performances.

“We’d like to thank every rider who put themselves forward for a place on the Team and remind them that even if they weren’t successful this time around, their performances are still highly valued and appreciated.

“We look forward to getting out on track in Romania next month and wish all our riders the very best of luck.

“We’d also like to thank our Team GB sponsors Paul Grimshaw Vehicle Movements, Shiloh Surfacing, ACS Scaffolding, Armor Vision, MGP Steel Erection, MotoHead, and of course, the ACU.”

The 2023 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship will be held on the 8th of July in Romania at a track 50km north of the capital city of Bucharest.
