Team Munster Energy eye up big VMXdN Foxhill result

VMXdN Foxhill has become the highlight of the British Motocross Calendar. As it gears up for its third year, the excitement is revving up, and the countdown is on for the gate to drop on the August bank holiday week of August 22-25th.

After the addition of the Wright Engineering team race in 2023, it has become one of the event’s highlights, with more and more riders wanting to participate in 2024.

After debuting last year, Team Munster Energy, aptly named with a playful nod to the renowned Energy drink brand, made its mark on the race. They achieved impressive results, had an absolute blast, and learned valuable lessons. Embracing the spirit of camaraderie, the team has decided to stick with the same crew for this year’s race.

Leading the squad is the youngest member of the team, Fin Wilson. Wilson is a rising star with three Irish national titles in youth classes under his belt. Despite missing a round earlier in the season due to his academic studies, Wilson remains a strong contender for podium finishes in the national adult championships. Will his familiarity with two-stroke engines, having ridden a 125 for several seasons, give him an edge on the track?

Next up is Aiden McDonogh, another rising star with an impressive track record. With three national youth titles and one adult title, McDonogh is known for his strength and ability to manoeuvre the bike effortlessly. Normally riding a 450, he will have no problem taming the CR250. He is currently running in the top three of the Irish National championship with a couple of moto wins to his name and knows the Foxhill circuit well, having raced at Foxhill in British championships before.

Rounding out the team is the experienced Steven Mulally, a stalwart in MX racing at both Irish and British national levels. While not always standing on the podium’s top step, Mulally is a formidable racer who never gives up. His wealth of knowledge and experience will provide that extra boost to the team’s performance.

Team Munster Energy is working hard and training tirelessly on their Honda CR250s, with the support of Southern Racing Motorcycles, Wilson Fabrication and Mulally Transport Wicklow.

With its sights set on a top-ten overall finish, Team Munster Energy is ready to have fun on and off the track at VMxdN Foxhill 2024.

VMXdN Foxhill is not just any motocross event; it is a celebration of the golden era of motocross and the sound of two-stroke machinery. With a star-studded lineup of MX legends past and present already signed up, this is a rare opportunity for MX fans to witness their motocross heroes in action. And with the open paddock, fans can get up close and personal, snag autographs, capture selfies, and even share a pint or two in the legendary beer tent. It’s a chance to create motocross memories that will last a lifetime.

Tickets have been selling as fast, and it’s highly anticipated that the event will be a sell-out before the gates even open on August 22nd. Booking your tickets online is the easiest way to guarantee your entry, and it speeds up the entry process, ensuring you have ample time to soak in every moment of this unforgettable event.
