Leading the charge has been 16-year-old Amber McGregor, supported by Izzy Neale, who missed the first round but has been creeping into the top 10 at each round; these two were supported again by Caitlin Newman, Beanie Reece and 14-year-old top youth championship rider Holly Williams, a huge experience and opportunity for her.

It was Izzy Neale that was the top British qualifier with 11th place, Amber McGregor just two places behind in 13th, Caitlin Williams in a strong 16th with Beanie Reece 22nd and Holly Williams 23rd. This gave our top 3 girls a great position to keep GB in 3rd overall.

Race 1 saw Izzy Neale put in a fantastic race heading the British girls with a top-10 finish taking the flag in 9th place. The rest of the team were battling each other, with Amber McGregor in 13th, Beanie Reece with a great result, her best of the series in 14th, just ahead of Caitlin Newman in 15th, Holly Williams taking 23rd.

Race 2 and Izzy Neale again led the British girls with another fantastic top 10 finish in 10th place, this time Caitlin Newman was fired up after struggling in the first race with a brilliant 13th place; her best of the series, Amber McGregor was further down in 15th just ahead of Beanie Reece in 16th place, and Holly Williams made up a place from race 1 with 22nd.

Race 3 and Neale again was the top British rider, slipping down one to 11th but securing 10th overall, all of this with an injured knee from the last round of the British Championship. Amber McGregor’s turn to turn up the wick as she powered to a fantastic 13th, two places ahead of Caitlin Newman, finishing in 15th after tremendous pressure from Beanie Reece, who hit Newman and stalled the bike, failing to restart, leaving her down in 23rd two behind Holly Williams in 21st.

The IMBA Champion for 2022 was again four times World Champion Steffi Laire.
