Team Belgium in for Farleigh Castle Vets MX

The OG Vets event – Farleigh Castle Vets MX held over the weekend of September 12th to 15th has been a regular meeting on the British MX calendar for over a decade. This highly anticipated three-day motocross event is set to take place at the Historic Farleigh Castle circuit and promises an unforgettable experience for riders and fans alike.

Under new management for 2024, Farleigh Castle Vets MX is determined to recapture the excitement of its heyday years (2018 and 2019). With a revamped lineup of attractions and a fresh approach, this year’s event is ready to reclaim its status as one of the premier motocross weekends on the calendar.

Kicking off at midday on Thursday, September 12th, the circuit will open its doors to motocross fans from far and wide.

With news of Team Belgium joining the lineup, an international team that brings with it the passion of a country where motocross is like a religion, fans are in for a treat—managed by the esteemed Danny Scheers. Scheers will manage the team and race himself in the Evo Open +50 and Twin Shock Open categories, promising a busy weekend for him.

The team’s captain is GP winner Patrick Caps, who needs no introduction; he rode 37 Grand Prix events, gaining 636 points in his career, no mean feat! Caps will be racing a Honda CR 250 1990 model running number 4

Next up is Wim Couwberghs, a quality Belgian national racer who will be on a 1990 Honda CR 500 running number 5.

The third man is Laurent Lacasse, who will be riding a booming Moto CCM 560, which is also a 1990 model running number 6.

This is another strong international squad that will be ready for the gate drop on September 14th at the historical Grand Prix circuit.

In addition to the on-track action, Farleigh Castle Vets MX has teamed up with The Sweet Potato Spirit Co, which will provide an all-catering offering across the weekend. The event is also attracting renewed interest from the industry and trade, alongside high-street names The Range and Wilko, ensuring that everything is in place for a fantastic event.
Grab your tickets and join us for a great weekend of Evo racing.
