Sudbury MCC to host evening Endurocross

With just under a month to go before Sudbury MCC hosts its first evening Enduro Cross event it is hoped that the huge following that supercross has filling arenas all over the UK is seen in entries and spectators at local level near Halstead, Essex on the 17th July.

The brainwave of Colchester based 22-year-old Joe Phillips Sudbury MCC committee member and GH Motorcycles Race Team Rider in both enduro /motocross. Joe had the idea to put on an evening Enduro Cross meeting to satisfy the challenge that both Enduro and Motocross riders alike look for in events.

Foxborough Quarry just outside Halstead a well known local venue for Enduro Events, practice fundays, pre 65 bikes and motocross sprint races has been tweaked with a hardworking willing team and created a tactical course to appeal to everyone with four races per class, Championship. Expert, Clubman and vets the event starts at 3.30 pm with the first race at 4.30pm.

Spectators are welcome & encouraged to come and watch the 16 races over the course of the evening with a licensed bar & hot food for a fun summer evening for all those who attend, a video of the track before it gets roped off is already available for those who want a taster of what’s to come and a viewing bank for spectators is prepared so visibility of the whole course is available to those cheering competitors. With cash prizes and an awards ceremony to finish off the proceedings, it is hoped to encourage some new faces and create something a little bit different for all those petrolheads out there.
