Steve Holcombe fired and ready to go for World Enduro Title number 10

Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe has his sights set on getting his 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship campaign started with the opening round of the series taking place this weekend in Fafe, Portugal, April 4-6.

• The nine-time world champion will contest EnduroGP and Enduro2 classes
• 2025 marks Steve’s second year with Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team
• Steve will race the Honda-RedMoto CRF 300RX Enduro

Ready to hit the ground running, Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe is eagerly anticipating getting his 2025 EnduroGP campaign underway in Portugal this week. Focused on making the best start possible, the nine-time world champion arrived in Portugal over a week ago, spending time riding on terrain similar to that he will likely face during the event.

Pleased with how his training went, Steve is now in Fafe and ready to begin a busy week of preparation, special test walking, media duties and setup before racing begins on Friday evening with the traditional Super Test.

Feeling confident ahead of round one, following a very productive offseason his motivation for a winning start to the season is high. Ending 2024 as runner-up in both EnduroGP and Enduro1, Steve has opted to move to the Enduro2 category for 2025, racing the Honda-RedMoto CRF 300RX Enduro.

Enjoying the added torque and power that the larger capacity bike brings, racing it successfully in pre-season Italian championship races has provided Steve and his team with the confidence needed to start the EnduroGP opener in the best possible way.

Following the GP of Portugal, the seven-round championship heads to Spain and Sweden in May. After a lengthy break, racing returns for round four in Wales at the beginning of August. A busy end to the year, sees it take in the GP of France and GP of Italy in September, before concluding in Germany in October.

Steve Holcombe: “I’m looking forward to getting EnduroGP underway this weekend. It’s been a busy and productive offseason, and I feel like I’m in a good place ahead of round one. With this being my second year on the Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team we were able to fully prepare during the winter. We did plenty of testing, tried different bikes, and I’m happy on the CRF 300RX Enduro. I enjoyed racing the 250 four-stroke last year, but at times looked for a little extra power. I think the 300 four-stroke will give me that. I was able to take a race win in Fafe last year, so the goal is to start 2025 strong and fight as hard as I can for my 10th world title!”
