Sparks Fly at Monster Mountain MX! 2025 Amped EMX Sparks British Masters Round 1 – Race Report & Results

Sparks Fly at Monster Mountain MX! 2025 Amped EMX Sparks British Masters Round 1 - Race Report & Results

Wow – what a start to the 2025 Amped EMX Sparks British Masters series!

Report and Images by EMX Sparks

Round 1 at the spectacular Monster Mountain gave us a true taste of British motocross weather, with contrasting conditions over the weekend. Saturday brought heavy rain and slippery terrain, but the track crew nailed the prep with a perfectly rolled surface. By Sunday, the sun returned and the track—reworked overnight—was prime for racing again. Hats off to the Monster Mountain track team for keeping things spot on across both days!

Small Track Showdown – E Drive Balance Bike Brilliance

12” E-Drive Balance Bikes

Our youngest racers led the way with some incredibly close racing. Boston Cleft clinched the overall win with lightning-fast starts, just edging out Taytum Hickey by three points. Archer Safe took third, with Paxton Price and Tommy Jones rounding out a competitive top five.

16” E-Drive Balance Bikes

350W Class: Dominated by Theo Hancock, who swept all six motos for maximum points. Mason Cooke stayed on the pace all weekend to claim second overall.

250W Class: Henry Davey was the standout, nearly sweeping the weekend. Seb Carr showed excellent form to grab second, while Aria Jones impressed with a strong ride to third. Lloyd Evans-Price and Ronnie Gardner completed the top five.

18” E-Drive Balance Bikes (5–8 Years)

Auley Luxton kicked off his season with a commanding win, while Milo Williams secured second, just ahead of Harper Newton. Paisley Cleft took fourth, and Nevaeh Rivers earned fifth. A special mention to Emy Gardner, who bounced back courageously after a heavy fall—true grit from the young rider.

18” (9-12 Years) & 20”+ E-Drive Balance Bikes

18” Class: Luca Symmons was in a league of his own, taking every race win. Wilfred Stokes gave it everything to finish second while mixing it up with the bigger bikes.

20”+ Class: Jake Carless on the Amped Pro 20` rode immaculately all weekend, only narrowly missing a full sweep due to an unfortunate tangle. Behind him, it was action-packed with Ted Tooley in second and Ortis Alexander Simons third. Cadi Bradshaw and Layla Harris completed the top five.

Big Track Battles – MX Machines Take Over

E2 Auto

Cooper Kempin was on fire, winning every moto and pushing the E-MINI front runners too. Oakley Berry and Boston Cleft joined him on the podium.

E-MINI

Some brilliant close racing saw Bear Todd take the win by just three points over Jacob Perkins, a relatively newcomer already turning heads. Auley Luxton grabbed another podium in third, with Reuben Grabham and Elliot Sulley inside the top five.

E3 MX Auto (Max 10” Wheels)

Maddox Knifton looked set for a clean sweep, but a crash opened the door for Theo Hancock, who snatched a race win and second overall. Harri Fisher, on his factory Amped EMX Sparks 10Ten MX machine, secured third. Cellan Rees and Blake Thomas completed the top five.

E5 MX Auto (Max 14” Front / 12” Rear)

This class was stacked and thrilling from start to finish. Archie Gill delivered a standout performance, showcasing consistency and speed to secure the overall win. Rafe Harwood brought excitement with his dynamic riding to claim second place, while Charlie Needs impressed throughout the weekend to round out the podium in third. Grayson Blake Martin and Cooper Dunstan also put in strong performances, finishing fourth and fifth respectively.

E5+ MX Auto (Max 15” Front / 12” Rear)

The E5+ class delivered high speed action throughout the weekend. Oakley Jones showcased a standout performance on his factory 10 Ten machine, securing five out of six race wins and demonstrating exceptional speed with multiple holeshots. Despite a late entry, Kaylum Clark made an immediate impact by clinching a race win and challenging the frontrunners. However, it was Paisley Cleft who consistently delivered strong performances across all motos, earning her a well-deserved second place overall.

E65 MX (Age 7–11)

The reigning champ Frank Wallis was untouchable, even recovering from a gate hit to win from the back—total dominance! Nicolas Lange showed great improvement with second overall, and Liberty Matthews was consistently smooth in third. Wilfred Stokes and Ortis Alexander Simons closed out the top five after some great wheel-to-wheel action.

Spark Plug Specials – Petrol Power!

PW50 (4–6 Years)

An unpredictable class with three different race winners, but it was Billy Plummer who emerged on top thanks to three key moto wins. Cooper Jax was a worthy runner-up, with Jack Insley close behind in third. Logan Caplin and Charlie Jamieson completed the ultra-competitive top five.

50cc Auto – Small Wheel

The smell of two-stroke was in the air and the racing didn’t disappoint! Archie Gill was a cut above, taking the overall with style. Matthew Enright snatched second by a single point after a final race charge, just edging out holeshot king Tommy O’Callaghan. Myles Chee and Tommi Jones were strong throughout and rounded out the top five.

50cc Auto – Big Wheel

Oakley Jones was as smooth as Galaxy chocolate over Easter weekend—cruising to a perfect score. Behind him, Kaylum Clark took second after a close battle with Charlie Needs, who suffered a mechanical but showed incredible pace. Freddy Jones and Layla Enright put in strong rides for fourth and fifth.

A Huge Thank You

A massive shoutout to everyone involved—from track crew to officials, sponsors, riders, and families. Monster Mountain MX delivered on every level, and the professionalism of the Amped EMX Sparks 2025 British Masters was clear for all to see. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the racing electric—literally!

We can’t wait to see you all again for Round 2 at Pembrey MX in Llanelli on May 24–25th.

Let’s keep the Sparks flying!
