Snow edges the Battle of the Alexes! 2023 Welsh 2 Day Enduro – Report and Results

Once again the time for the annual International Welsh 2 Day Enduro had arrived and the town Llandrindod Wells in Mid Wales would greet some 500 riders along with their pit crews and hundreds of spectators along the 120 + mile lap each day.

As scrutineering and documentation checks were all done on the Wednesday the real action began at 8am on the Thursday adjacent to the lakeside cafe just above the town, first of the 30 or so sidecar crews away were Alun Davies / Luke Peters who would finish as overall runners up in the Sidecar Championship class followed by the winning crew of David Williams / Will Green, however as it was a round of the British sidecar Enduro Championship both crews would take a max points for each day in the series with Davies just snatching the win on Day two after Williams took a roll in the outfit on the final special test of the event just a mile from the finish.

Championship class sidecar winning crew were Williams and Green

The Championship class for the solo riders would be just as exiting with dry conditions and blue skies on day one Alex Walton would take the win by a few hundredths of a second from Alex Snow whilst day two the pair would swap positions with Snow taking the win with a 15 second advantage both riding Gas Gas machines. Third place would go to Max Ingham over a minute down on the Gas Gas duo.
