Snow blitzes the Jack Frost Enduro! 2023 Welsh Enduro Championship Round 2 – Report and Results

Round 2 of the ET James backed Welsh Enduro Championship took place on Sunday run by the Rhayader & DMCC. A max entry of some 180 riders filled up in record time and were all treated to a traditional old-school enduro with a super tight check at the finish.

The first bike kicked into gear at 10am and headed into the 15-mile lap which comprised a check that would tighten on each lap and also a check that would comprise of the special test and the refuelling area. After weeks of heavy rain the event was going to be a tough one from the word go with organisers pre-warning riders of a tight check that even the championship riders would lose time on and they were right.

It was balls out on the final tight check of the day with no time to spare at all.

The championship and expert riders would compete five laps, Alex Snow Gas Gas took the overall win but even the Tiverton rider would drop a minute on the final check, runner up was Josh Gotts TM also dropping a minute as did Dan Mundell Beta claiming third in the championship class.

Adam James took the expert class win an the ET James backed Sherco

Local rider Adam James on the ET James Sherco took the win in the Expert class he dropped a minute on the tight check whilst runner up Kris Price from Llandrindod on a Beta dropped two minutes, Ross Danby aboard a Beta dropped three unites on the going but claimed third in the class. The Clubman class win went to Curtis Colcombe on a Beta he would drop three minutes whilst runner up Ryan Philips on a Yamaha would also drop three unites as did third placed rider in the class Christian Cole aboard a Kawasaki

John Shirt Gas Gas took the win in the O/v 40 class
