Ryan Sipes to race for Team USA at 2025 VMXDN Foxhill

Ryan Sipes to race for Team USA at 2025 VMXDN Foxhill

It’s just 22 weeks until the gate drops on VMXdN 2025, and we all travel to take our place along the banks of the natural amphitheatre valley of Foxhill during the August bank holiday weekend. It may be the fourth consecutive year for most, but several pro riders are making their maiden VMXdN journey to the GP circuit near Swindon.

Among the VMXdN newbies is Ryan Sipes, and don’t let the newbie label fool you. Sipes is a Red Bull athlete and hails from Kentucky. He went pro in the summer of 2004 and is known for being a modern Moto Renaissance Man. He is versatile and throws his hand to many of the sports disciplines and places well, regardless of competition.

Sipes boasts various accolades, including third in the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship’s SX LITES East event, the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship’s SX LITES West event and the 2019 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship’s 125 All-Star event. He is no stranger to international races as he was part of the Puerto Rico des nations squad with Travis Pastrana and Kevin Windham when the race was held at RedBud.

When the flag drops on August 23rd, Sipes will be the second man to represent Team USA. He will be teammates with captain Mike Brown, and we are told the third member will be announced very shortly. He will be riding one of the DocWob factory-built 2002 YZ 250, which will be in special livery for the event; he is excited to come and show his speed in the valley of dreams. Team captain Brownie has versed Ryan on what to expect, and he is fully bike fit and ready to go. He is sure to be part of a motivated squad pushing to get the USA squad back on top of the podium.

It will be a flying visit to VMXdN as he leaves the circuit on Sunday evening to board a flight to Italy to race the ISDE 6-day enduro for Team USA the following week.

Many motocross fans regard the 90s/00S as the sport’s golden era, and the VMXdN event brings that vibe back to life like no other.
