Rising Stars – Ashton and Kiean Boughen

Brothers Kiean and Ashton Boughen have already achieved a fair amount between them in their short MX careers and they are latest Rising Stars to be featured. From representing Great Britain racing in the Junior World Championships, winning the 65cc British title and both have won the 65cc Arenacross title these two have been racking up the wins.

Name: Ashton Boughen

Age: 12 yrs old

Hometown: Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

How and when did you start riding? I started riding a quad bike when I was 3 my dad had a fishing lake and land so we use to ride there.

What was your first bike? PW50

Where was your first race? Mx Master Kids France

When and where was your first race win? It was my first official UK race at East Trax.

Which rider has influenced you the most and why? Jeffery Herlings is my favourite rider as his determination to win is incredible and his racecraft is the best.

Where’s the coolest place and track you’ve ridden? We rode a really cool track in Australia in preparation for the JWC in 2018. I’m not sure the name of it but it was a really old track that had overgrown in green grass. It hadn’t been ridden for years but they allowed us to train on it!

Outside of MX who is your sporting hero? Carl and Alex two brothers who travel the world fishing!

What country would you like to visit that you haven’t yet and why? I’ve been to Florida riding MX but I would like to go to California and ride Glen Helen!

Name one thing you don’t like and explain why? I don’t like losing!!!

What was the last thing you watched on YouTube? Carl and Alex fishing

What’s been your biggest achievement so far? There’s been a few so far like winning the BYN, winning AX, Podiums EMX, winning Dutch races and leading the 2nd Moto at the junior worlds for a few laps before I had a mechanical to finish 8th overall in the world.

What is your most treasured possession? My fishing gear!

What is currently your favourite song? Erm, I don’t really listen to music but I don’t mind club house .

If you didn’t want to be a pro motocross rider, what would you like to be? A professional fisherman.

How and when did you start riding? My dad got me a mini adventure we use to ride down on land near our house.

What was your first bike? Mini adventure

Where was your first race? PJMC Chatteris

When and where was your first race win? Mepal age 6 in the auto class

Which rider has influenced you the most and why? Neville Bradshaw because I love the way he rides and he still takes time out to talk and give me tips when I see him at the tracks.

Where’s the coolest place and track you’ve ridden? Trentino, Italy

Outside of MX who is your sporting hero? I only follow MX so I don’t really have any other sporting heroes.

What country would you like to visit that you haven’t yet and why? I’ve been to America before but we haven’t been to California. I would love to go there and ride and maybe watch a Supercross.

Name one thing you don’t like and explain why? I don’t like bad sportsmanship!

What was the last thing you watched on YouTube? Travis Pastrana

What’s been your biggest achievement so far? Getting selected for the 2019 JWC
