It is the perfect time of year to be testing cleaning products with the typical British winter living up to its name. We seem to spend just as much time cleaning up after a day out on your bike as we do riding them. Here we have a range of products from Ducksmart to make that process a lot easier than it needs to be.

Firstly we start with the Ducksmart Earth Mover bike cleaner, this product does exactly what it says on the tin; easily breaking down the mud & earth to make sure no dirt is left on your bike once it’s rinsed off. The first thing you notice about this product is the pleasantly strong fragrance it gives off and it cleans as good as it smells. A few sprays all over your bike and minor agitation will leave your bike looking brand new again.
Once we used the Earth Mover in the first stage of cleaning, the next product we ried out was the Ducksmart Mud Slider. This product is designed to help reduce the build up of mud, dirt, grease and grime that can gather on your bike when riding. This product adds a real shine to the parts that are exposed to the elements on your bike and can cope with high temperatures so it is ideal for use on the engine and exhaust along with the wheels, plastics and frame. We found it worked real well on the wet days and helped massively with washing the bike post ride.
Our favourite part about the Ducksmart range so far is how eco-friendly all of their products are. Even though their plastic bottles are made from 100% recyclable materials, they also provide a bottle for life if you were to buy the Concentrate pouches for most of their range. Not only saving you money, but also doing your bit to help save the environment.
After using the Earth Mover and Mud Slider, it was time to test out the Ducksmart Bullit Silicone Spray to create that showroom finish. I think we can all agree we take pride in our racing machines and how they look when we first arrive to the track, which is where the Bullit Silicone Spray comes into play. All it takes is an even spray all over the bike including on the forks and stanchions, and it creates a brilliant shine making it even harder for the mud to stick to your bike. Again, this product has a pleasant fragrance leaving you confident your bike is looking its best.
The final product we tested was the Ducksmart Slick Filter Cleaner where I can honestly say I have never come across a product like it! To start with, the fresh coconut smell when you opened the bottle was a pleasant surprise compared to other filter cleaning products I have used before. The job that every rider seems to avoid as much as possible (I know a few riders who just buy pre-oiled filters all year!) has been made easy with the simple 3 step process. It has multiple filters as good as new in no time at all and with no nasty smell around the house to keep the other half happy is an added bonus. Surprisingly the Slick Filter Cleaner went a long way with managing to clean 15 air filters from a 1 litre spray bottle. Along with the value for money, the product is 100% biodegradable, making it even easier to get away with cleaning the filters in the kitchen sink.
The bottom line for the Ducksmart products I have used above, is that they do exactly what they say on the tin, smell great and the whole company ethos really focuses on being as eco-friendly as possible whilst still being able to maximise the functionality of the products which is a key topic in today’s world.
