Last weekend, the Dirt Store Racing Triumph team travelled to the OVO Arena in Wembley for their second stop on the Arenacross World Tour. After a fair start to the campaign in Birmingham, Tommy Searle was eager to chase his first piece of silverware on the Triumph machine.

Tommy looked good in the early timed sessions. He topped the box in group 1 and was third in group 2. His final qualifying time narrowly missed the podium and put Searle in P4 before the night show.

Following the afternoon break, Searle lined up for his first Heat Race. A perfect start, and a dive to the inside, was enough for the holeshot. With an open track Tommy put in a great couple of laps, but was passed on the inside by Jack Brunell after the whoops. A tight three-way battle for positions between Brunell, Searle and Mewse continued for the following 3 laps. Mewse would eventually get the better of Searle, but a third place finish was a strong start to the night.

In Heat 2, it was another rocket launch out of the gate for the Triumph TF 250-X. Adam Chatfield made an early move on Tommy to gain the lead, leaving Searle battling with Mewse for second position. Tommy kept the upper hand for the majority of the race, holding P2 until lap 7 where Conrad managed to find a way through. Despite slipping back, two third place finishes was enough to put the team straight through to the main event and avoid the Head to Head showdowns.

Going into the final race of the night, it was once again the Triumph leading the way into turn 1 – a third holeshot for Searle! Unfortunately, Mewse and Wilson were able to make passes in the opening two laps. Searle initially kept in touch with their bigger 450 machines but also had to contend with Taylor Hammal who was attacking from behind. Tommy rode very consistently to keep the rhythm sections flowing and to withstand the pressure from behind to secure P3 overall.

It may have only been Round 2, but it turned out to be a night of three’s for the Dirt Store Triumph team trio. 3 holeshots and 3, third place finishes. A great result for Triumph UK&I and a first podium for the team in 2025. This strong finish also moved Tommy up to P3 in the British points standings, which looks positive for the coming rounds.

The team are all very pleased with the performance and would like to give thanks to all the sponsors and partners. Dirt Store Triumph Racing are proud to welcome DeWalt to their sponsorship lineup and are hugely thankful for all their partners continued efforts. Your collective support ensures the crew can bring home strong results like this and continue developing with each round.
We now have a fortnight’s wait until the trip to Ireland for a double-header weekend at the SSE Arena in Belfast. This will be a great chance to keep clawing back points and ride the momentum of good results.
We’ll certainly be aiming to turn those 3’s into 1’s!
