Nunn & Kullas shine at Whitby for Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha!

Harri Kullas entered the penultimate round of the Revo ACU British Championship lying in 2nd place, just 13 points off the series lead and with all to play for.

After persistent overnight rain, Sunday morning brought a very wet race track, with Harri qualifying in 6th place.

The perfect start for Harri in race one, saw him lead every lap, pulling away from Tommy Searle and winning by an eventual 28 seconds.

In race two, Harri was 3rd off the line, behind Tommy Searle and Shaun Simpson. Harri kept the pair in sight but never got close enough to make a pass and finished 3rd in the race, for 2nd overall.

Harri Kullas “I thought it will be a tough day and I would be happy with podium. After first race my mind changed as I got the holeshot and controlled race all the way to win.

Second race I started 3rd and we were all together with Shaun and Tommy, we had good pace and they changed places couple times. In the end of the race I struggled with one lapper and lost ground so I wasn’t in the mix to fight for a better position.

Ended 3rd second race and second overall.

Podium is always good but obviously lost couple points in the championship and with one round to go, I need some miracle to happen. I really wanted to take the 1-1 win but didn’t happen.

Pressure off and we go for the last round hoping to enjoy and get that win.”

9th overall for    Thornhill at MXGB

Dan Thornhill continued his Revo ACU British Championship campaign this weekend, at the North Yorkshire circuit of Whitby.

Dan put in his best qualifying of the year on the wet and technical track, in 10th place, before getting a decent start in 11th in race one.

Despite losing a place mid-race, Dan made a late charge making up two places late on to finish 10th.

A similar race for Dan in race two saw him 10th on lap one, but struggling to make passes on the now slick, one line track, finishing an eventual 9th place for 9th overall.

Dan Thornhill – “Happy with how racing went at Whitby. Two poor starts after a good qualifying, made for some hard work.
I was pleased with my riding all day though which made up for poor starts and I was happy to come away with 9th overall.”

Fantastic 4th overall for Sam Nunn

Sam Nunn continued his Revo MX2 ACU British Motocross Championship campaign this weekend at Whitby, North Yorkshire.

Sam qualified well, with the 8th fastest time in MX2, then started inside the top 10 in race one. Sam made some great moves through the pack and moved to 5th place by mid-race. Despite trying everything, Sam couldn’t quite make the pass on Talviku for 4th.

An even better start in race two and Sam was in 5th place, pushing for 4th again, but a fall dropped him back to 6th and another fall mid race saw him finish in 9th place, for a brilliant 4th overall in MX2.

Sam Nunn – “It was a good day at Whitby. The conditions were tough and muddy, but really pleased with my riding and pumped with 4th overall. Thanks to the whole team for their hard work and I’m looking forward to next weekend at Hawkstone Park.”
