A big thanks to Diss MCC supporters and helpers, marshals and officials who helped make the event go ahead. Very challenging conditions for all concerned despite not ripping up the track, as the very heavy rain Friday and Saturday, made the going very slippery for practice and the first group of races.  A track modification was made and with this change, plus the sunny hot weather after lunch, made the track far more ridable for all classes.

Sam Nunn, Cab Screens / Crecent 450 Yamaha took overall honours in the Premier Class from Luke Parker MPM /49 offroad 350 Gass Gas, and in 3rd place Calum Mitchell Lexa MX Husky.  Nunn set a blistering time in qualifying of 1 minute 43 seconds, 4 seconds quicker than Sean Southgate and Luke Parker,  in fact less than a second separated Southgate, Parker, Tombs and Benjamin Cole. In terms of the three races for the Premier class, Nunn won all three races from start to finish with the exception of Race 3 where Sean Southgate led for 5 of the 13 laps. With the section off track cut out and the drying conditions, the top riders were now doing 13 laps in a race compared to 10 laps earlier in the day.

In the Premier Junior class, Shane Lock 250 Yamaha took overall honours from Kayden Smith –Team PP Sports/Southside MX 125 Yamaha and Joe Hall in 3rd on a Roger Warnes 350 Gas Gas.

Group A Overall was won by Timothy Warnes 350 Gas Gas, followed by Jae Jeffries 350 KTM and then veteran Paul Aldridge Husky 250.

Group B Juniors was won by Bailey Jackson on a JCA Resilience 250 Honda, with the very experienced Lee Keyton 250 Yamaha in 2nd and Chris Townshend 350 KTM in 3rd .

Group C overall was one by Shawn Graham – Yamaha 250 with Katie Stock in 2nd on a KTM 250 and Jason Ramsey in 3rd on a 125 KTM.

Obviously, the challenging conditions at the start of the day didn’t suit a number of riders but for those who ‘stuck’ the day out, by the last group of races, the racing was fast with most riders getting around pretty quickly.

Many thanks to sponsors Stebbings Car Superstore and PP Sports Insurance for their continued support.
