One of the biggest teams in the British Motocross paddock, who have been one of the main challengers for British Championship glory, has announced that it is closing down with immediate effect.

Harri Kullas rockets to the front ahead of MXGP’s big players at Lommel in July this year.

In a brief statement on their social media channels, the team announced the following:

“The team are extremely sad to announce that we will not be running in 2024, with immediate effect. After three years with Yamaha UK, and putting Yamaha firmly back on the map in the UK Motocross scene, unfortunately there is no offer of support for 2024 at this stage. So, we have to make this tough decision for all parties involved, including team members, riders and sponsors.
We want to say a massive thanks to our team, riders, fans and sponsors who have helped us get as far as we did. We’re a small team that have punched way above our weight for some time. But the time has come for us to close our doors. We will be forever grateful for the memories and the support.”

The team won three straight Michelin MX Nationals titles with Harri Kullas, as well as challenging at the front of several MXGP events and always supporting Harri in his Motocross of Nations appearances for Estonia. Lee Webber and his team have been one of the most approachable in the paddock with rider signings, and voiced his concerns about 2024 to your Dirt Hub correspondent at Ernee.  Sadly, it seems that they have not been able to get the support required to run any further.

Lee has stated that he will still be involved with a rider for 2024 so won’t be leaving the paddock completely.

It’s not been announced as to what Harri Kullas’ plans are for 2024, or as to what presence Yamaha will have in the UK, but we will bring that to you when we are able.

All at Dirt Hub send their best wishes to Lee, Ian, and all involved with the team.
