New three round Scottish Winter Motocross Championship set for 14th January opener – Entries Open

Scottish Winter Motocross Championship

The upcoming new Scottish Winter Motocross Championship is to be a three-round race series taking place at two sandy venues in northeastern Fife.

The first two rounds (on the 14th of January and the 4th of February) will be held at a sandy stubble field venue next to the motocross track at Milton Farm, Balmullo (KY160AB.)

A revamp of the Leuchars track is just about to begin in preparation for the final round, which will be held at the former British Championship venue on the 3rd of March.

There will be two tracks to cater for all the classes. These will include –

Track 2

Auto 50cc
65cc

Track 1

85cc (20 SW and 20 BW combined)
Youth (20 125cc Youth and 20 250cc Youth combined
A
B
C
Vets

There will be a lengthy 20 minute practice and two long motos for each class.

Registered entrants so far include current Auto 50cc champion Aiden Anton, who has moved up to 65cc Class. Runner-up in this year’s BW85cc class, Josh Hutchinson and teammate Jaxon Haswell, who finished third in this year’s championship, lead up a stacked BW85cc class.

Robbie Scott, who finished runner-up to Malachi Allan in this year’s SW85cc class, will be trying his hand on a 125cc machine.

Second place in this year’s 250cc Youth Championship, Ryan Lowes will be racing in the 250cc youths, and current 125cc Youth Champ Ryan Waggot is a third of the Hutch Racing Team members travelling north to take on the A class.
