The Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Junior team is thrilled to have signed two promising young riders, Max Werner and Gyan Doensen for the 2025 season. These talented individuals will join the team and will be developed as part of the KTM GP Academy riding in the EMX250 Championship and the Dirtstore ACU British Motocross Championship.

This week the team held two successful test days to welcome Max and Gyan to the Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors family. During testing, the riders had the opportunity to get acquainted with their new bikes, the team, and the support staff.

The test session was important for giving the mechanics an opportunity to set up the brand new 2025 KTM 250 SX-F for each rider’s preference, KTM have designed their latest model with a few new enhancements including more flex in their frame for increased performance. The team would like to thank suspension sponsor WP for attending to fine tune the suspension setup for Max and Gyan, ensuring that they are ready for preseason training.

Last month it was announced that the team would become part of the KTM GP Academy. Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors, are absolutely committed to supporting their riders with developmental training, constructive feedback and a motivated team providing them with the highest quality equipment, thanks to our brilliant sponsors.

Stepping up from the 125 class, Gyan Doensen is ready to demonstrate and progress his skills on the bigger machine. This weekend, he will be competing in the last round of the Dutch MX Nationals, representing the Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors team in competition for the first time. This will be a valuable opportunity for Gyan to ride on the new bike and gain some confidence before the winter break.

The Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors team is confident that with the addition of Max and Gyan, and with the support of the KTM GP Academy they are well-positioned for a successful season and a bright future.

Gyan Doensen: “Super happy to work with this amazing team and people! It will be my first season in EMX250 and I’m very excited to get to work! Also riding some MX2 races is a dream, and I can’t wait for the new season! Thanks to everyone who made this possible!”

Max Werner: “From the first moment, I felt really welcome within the team. Simon and Shaun made sure that everything was well prepared for the first two test days. From the first lap on the track, I loved the handling of the bike and enjoyed riding it. We did a good set up with WP suspension as a base for the winter. I really like the feeling the team gave me already the first two test days! I am looking forward to starting the winter preparation and 2025 with the team!”

Shaun Simpson: “This new challenge for 2025, having two young talented riders racing in the EMX250 class is going to be an exciting time for the Team. Both Max and Gyan are very self-motivated characters and with our guidance we feel that we can push both riders to the top of EMX250 and the MX2 British Championship. We have had a good two days doing some initial setup on the bikes before both riders will take their winter break. Big thanks to KTM for their trust and backing for this new venture and every other sponsor we have on board for their continued support into 2025.”
