MX DNA Runs Deep for Team Ulster – VMXDN Foxhill Ulster line up!

With the motocross DNA running deep in Ireland these guys are sure to step up.

Team leader for Ulster is Trevor Cubitt, a highly seasoned rider and past winner of the VMXDN Team Event in 2021.
Trevor has previously represented Ireland at the Motocross Des Nations – in 1996 at Jerez in Spain and 2000 at St-Jean-d’Angely in France, where both times he mixed it with the best riders in the World. He was also a former Irish Champion in 2000, and former top British Championship rider. For 2023 Trevor is making a switch to Honda machinery and will lead an all Honda Mounted Team Ulster at Foxhill where the team hope to improve upon their 9th overall finish at last year’s event in what was their maiden appearance as Team Ulster.

Chris Bell has been an avid racer since his schoolboy days and has over 36 years racing experience to rely on. Chris featured heavily in the Irish Motocross scene in the 90’s and early 2000’s winning an Irish Semi Expert title in his formative adult racing career. Chris has made a strong comeback to racing in the Evo Classes and has featured strongly in recent years at the VMXDN with 2 top 9 finishes in the overall VMXDN Team Classification.

Philip Loughlin had a hugely successful schoolboy career in Ireland and the British National scene. He has also represented Ireland in the 1996 Under 21 Coup de l’Avenir in Belgium alongside Irish legend Gordon Crockard.

Philip has also competed fiercely for many years in the Irish and Ulster Championship with some top finishes under his belt. 2022 was Philip’s first appearance at the VMXDN and in qualifying he showed the speed he is capable of. A DNS in the first moto hampered his efforts, so look out for some determined riding from Philip around the Hills and Braes of Foxhill this year onboard his Honda CR250.

Team Manager is former racer, turned bike builder Darren Lecky who returns to Foxhill having managed the team last year.

The Team’s Primary Sponsors are Hutcheon Fuels, The Playshed and Hilltop Vending Solutions.

The weeks are flying by and it won’t be long til the gate drops at VMXdN Foxhill motocross event, to secure your tickets visit www.vmxdnfoxhill.com
