Moss was the boss! 2022 Kensworth MXC Club Championship Round 3 – Race Report & Results

KSMXC headed north to Fatcat Moto Parc in Doncaster for round 2 and 3 of their championship.

Round 2 started well, but things soon started to get out, of the event organiser’s control, red flags raised, due to some very nasty crashes. The paramedics were pushed to their limits. One block of racing was nearly completed except for the schoolboys having to complete their round 2 race the following day.

The day was completed with a huge Easter Egg Hunt, which made the whole paddock spring into life, after such a trying day.
Days like this come with the sport and the event organisers will always make sure rider’s safety is paramount.

Onto to round three a new day….

Schoolboys started the day, they knew they had four races ahead of them. Huge credit to all who managed to complete them on such a tough track.

Smooth 125 rider Lennox Dickinson dominated the day taking the overall with a 1-1-1. Kyron Carron and Max Smith battled for the other podium positions Carron had the edge and took second place with Smith third.

In the Schoolboy 250 Class. Tye Jones took the overall, Cameron Box kept him honest taking second place, with Kai Brown third.

Mason Cole took the overall in the busy small wheel 85 class. Jack Leese and Harley O’Callagan went head to head for the other podium positions. Leese took the second with O’Callagan third.

In the Junior 65 class a quick Riley-Ray Barrow took the overall with a 1-1-1 Franky Donoghue took a great consistent second, with Jack Stanford third.

In the Big Wheel class, Conor McGrath showed his class in race one, but unfortunately, his day ended after he crashed big on the first lap of the second race. This race was red-flagged, so a re-run pursued with Woz Boyce dominating the last two motos to take the overall. Great racing between pals Malachi Stratton, Alfie Best and Max Walsham saw them battling for the final podium positions. Best took second with Stratton third.

In the Auto’s, the first KSMXC qualifying round of the ACU British Auto cup took place. Tyler Moss showed he enjoyed the rough track conditions to take a 1-1-1. Hunter Groves was second with a 3-2-2. Tommy Brook was third.

In the Over 35 class, Jon Tapp took the overall with a consistent 1-1-1. Graham Clark took second with Matt Wright third.

In the Over 50’s class Anthony Hilton took the overall with a 1-1-1. Darren Williams took second with Stuart Milbourne third.

Thanks to the committee, workers, and paramedics, who were pushed to their limits last weekend.
