Back on the 23rd April Portsmouth MXC rocked up to Swanmore for round 4 of their Summer Club Championship.

Tyler Kirby once again blasted the rookies, More easy wins for the Ktm rider, showing all that he needs to step it up to the nationals. Charlie Guttridge was next up behind Kirby. Gutteridge was determined and kept plucking away at the results throughout the day. Don’t count him out of the championship fight just yet! Owen Richards took the final spot on the box with 3,2,3.
In the Autos Sam Mcevoy was the one to watch. He snapped up a good set of results 3,1,1. Hendrix Prowse was consistent with a cracking set of 2,2,2. This placed him second just behind Mcevoy. Archie Parry took a fabulous win in the first moto, followed this up with two 3rds for the final podium step.
The same top three again in the 65s. Arthur King came out on top. A score of 1,1,2 for the tallest step. Nixon Coppings showed fantastic skill in moto 3 gaining himself a moto win and doing just enough for 2nd place. He went 2,2,2. Elliot Shawyer came 3rd overall after a great performance of 2,3,3.
Charlie Richmond made lightwork of the stacked Big Wheel 85 class. An awesome display of riding, he grabbed 1,1,1 and a well deserved 1st overall. Ryan Clift mastered 2,2,2 for 2nd overall. 3,5,4 may have looked inconsistent but it was just what Harvey Mcevoy needed to secure his 3rd place finish.
The Small Wheel’s was packed full of young talents at round 4. Charlie Hobden hit the front early in all 3 motos. He dominated the group and swept up all 3 wins for first. Rylie Cox Adams progressed his results throughout the day by going 4,3,2, for second overall. Third place was a mix bag, Bradlee Aspden definitely put his name in the mix as he was hot out of the blocks in all three. However it was Jake Dixon who grabbed the final spot on the podium.
Mark Morris just won’t stop winning. A perfect score for the current class champion. He dominated the VMX on his brand new Kawasaki. Making easy work of the swanmore circuit each week, he will be excited to be heading to Culham for the next round. Paul Williams decided not to line up for round 4, this meant it was back to business for title contender Brad Humphrey who went 2,2,2. Richard Pane went 3,3,3 for 3rd place overall.
Ricky Carter was back to take more moto glory for Pw Racing. He is another serious rider this season and displayed that with his results of 1,1,1 for the overall. Reece Sanders had a fantastic ride in the first race coming in just behind Carter, however Jack Milsted took second overall after 3,2,2. Taylor Othen has been on top form as of late and also put his name in the mix going 4,5,3 for 3rd overall.
What an immense display of riding in the MX1 class to wrap up what was a great day of riding! Josh Coleman got suited and booted ready to dominate the class. He succeeded in his goals and went a perfect 1,1,1 for 1st. It was great to see former Team Green rider Cullen Scott back at the club getting his feet wet for the first time in a few years. His new bike will definitely help him get the results going forward. He went 2,2,4 for second. Travis Reynolds didn’t get it all his own way this week but still secured the well needed championship points with 3rd overall.
