Mewse & Searle max out at Landrake! 2024 Fastest 40 MX Championship Round 3 – Rundown and Results

Conrad Mewse in the Pro MX1 and Tommy Searle in the Pro MX2 claimed the big victories at the weekend’s 2024 Fastest 40 MX Championship Round 3 at Landrake in Cornwall.

Bright sunshine and a fantastically prepped track set the weekend up to be a spectacular one.

On Saturday, Mewse continued his win streak by going 1-1 in the Pro MX1 category, making 6 wins from 6 in this year’s championship with his Crendon Tru7 Honda team mate Taylor Hammal following him home in second in both motos for second overall and a team 1-2. Nudging his way onto the box in third with two superb moto’s was Jason Meara who edged out the Lexa MX rider John Adamson courtesy of the Irishman beating the Scotsman in the last moto. Jamie Carpenter on his Dirt Store Kawasaki had a great third in the second moto for fifth overall.

Mewse now has a 26 point lead over Hammal in the Championship standings.

In Pro MX2 Ben Mustoe surprised everyone by qualifying on pole, backing it up with a fantastic second in Moto 1 behind the series leader and Dirt Store Kawasaki racer Tommy Searle. Searle would go on to win moto two to take the overall victory.

Dylan Walsh went 3-2 for second overall, with another Dirt Store Kawasaki racer Joel Rizzi in third. Howard Wainwright racked up two good results for fourth with Mustoe in fifth.

Local Racer Ty Westcott would win the Under 21 class.

It was the young guns who prevailed in the 125 class with Josh Vail, Charlie Richmond and Jamie Keith filling the podium positions while Matt Bayliss was on top in Adults and fourth overall.

On Sunday Howard Wainwright won all three Honda Cup Moto’s for the win, while Scott Aldrige did the same in the Amateur MX1 class which was saw a Stark Electric group join the party where Jake Taylor took the victory.

Charlie Hamlet was the victor in Amateur MX2, and over on Clubman MX1, the win would go the way of Matt Dowes. Clubman MX2 saw Richard Roberts claim the top spot.

Lennox Dickinson got cross rutted in the Leatt Pro MX2 Championship.

The Championship moves onto Brookethorpe in Gloucestershire for Round 4 on the 6th and 7th July.

No 100 Reggie Willet and No 17 Matt Bayliss battling it out in the combined ACU Apico British 125 Championship
