Meara brothers unite for the Mourne & Glens Team's VMXDN Foxhill crusade

With the highly anticipated VMXdN motocross event just six weeks away, the next team to be announced in the Wright Engineering Team Race is the Mourne & Glens Team, who will be taking on the iconic Foxhill circuit over the August bank holiday weekend of 22nd-25th.

The Mourne & Glens Team has been meticulously assembled, comprising of formidable group of riders, with the support of MRA Ireland and its sponsors.

First place on the team goes to John Meara. The four-time Irish and four-time Ulster champion knows all about getting podium pie. He has also represented Team Ireland at MXON. John will be racing a Kawasaki KX 250, rocking the number 46 plate.

Next up is Jason Meara, who also boasts several championship titles to his name, including 4 x Irish championships and 2 x Ulster championships. He is a regular face at Arenacross, alongside the British, Scottish, and the Fastest 40 championships. Jason will be lining up on a KTM 250 with the number 47 plates. He knows about representing his country and team, playing with 3 MXON appearances for Team Ireland.

Finally, joining the Meara clan is Glenn McCormick. McCormick is riding a Husqvarna CR250, number 48. The 5 x Ulster, 2 x Irish champ is raring to go. Like his other two teammates, he has also represented Team Ireland at MXON and is on form in 2024, riding off the back of his 2023 podium championship result in MX2 at the MX Nationals.

With ticket sales currently massively up on the 2023 event to date it is likely going to sell out prior to the race- so the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.
