The opening round of the 2025 Welsh Open Sprint Championship at Cwmeithig Hill, Rhayader, aka the King of the Hill Enduro, was hosted by the Rhayader Motor Club over the weekend.

An entry of close to 200 riders took to the opening round with seven tests on offer, with the top riders completing a lap in around 7 minutes. The sun shone all day, which made for a great day’s action with Triumph rider Jamie McCanney on top ahead of Jack Edmondson in second and British Championship Round 1 and 2 winner Mikael Persson on the factory Triumph in third.
