Kullas takes Landrake win and MXGB series runner-up as Thornhill records season best result!

Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha’s Harri Kullas entered the final round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship in a comfortable 2nd place, but 15 points behind Tommy Searle. So with the pressure off, Harri was looking to end the season on a high.

Harri was 3rd on the first lap of race one but quickly moved past Josh Gilbert then Tommy Searle to take the lead, edging away from the pair to win.

Going into the 2nd race, the final race of the season, Harri was now 12 points behind Searle in the series. Tommy got the holeshot and Harri soon got past, but not before Josh Gilbert had passed them both!

Harri closed on Gilbert towards the end, but not quite enough to win. 1-2 finishes gave Harri the win on the day, and left him only 8 points behind Searle in the standings.

Harri Kullas “Qualifying was ok for me in 3rd In race one I was 3rd off the start but got the front quite quickly and won.

“Race two I was 2nd behind Tommy and then Gilby passed me before I could make a move on Tommy at the front. I tried to close gap on Josh and pushed hard as I really wanted the win, but didn’t quite make it happen.

“Happy with my riding but Tommy did enough to win the championship today.

“Consistent season overall a good year – Huge thanks to my boss Lee, Steve my mechanic and especially my girlfriend Lisett. Also to the rest of the team and families for supporting me and to all the fans who cheered me on today, it means a lot.”

Season best result for Dan at Landrake

After missing the first two rounds due to injury, Dan Thornhill was looking to build on some strong late season form and end the season on a high.

Dan had his best qualifying of the season in 7th place and then back it up with a top 10 start, moving to 7th mid race before losing out to Shaun Simpson and Stuart Edmonds to finish 9th.

A great start for Dan had him in 5th place early on, before losing 2 position in the first few laps. Dan then dug deep and rode a great race for a string 7th place, giving him a season best 7th overall.

Dan Thornhill – “Solid day today. Really positive qualifying session with the 7th fastest time, followed by 2 strong motos. I feel I carried my feeling from last weekend into today, to end the last British round with a strong 7th overall. Big thanks as always to the whole team for the support this year”

Tough day for Nunn at MXGB

Sam Nunn was making his MXGB MX1 450 debut at Landrake for the final round of the Revo ACU British Championship.

Sam qualified really well in 10th place and then started well in race one, just outside the top 10. Then a fall on lap 4 before a lengthy trip to the mechanics area, meant he finished 17th.

Sam had a tough start to race two, and was just inside the top 20 early on. However, Sam made steady progress clinching 13th place towards the end of the race, for 13th overall.

A tough day but lots of positives for our young rookie.

Sam Nunn – “Tough day at Landrake. Felt good one the bike all day, but bad starts and a couple of mistakes made it really hard work. Few more races left and then time for a break. Huge thanks to the whole team for their help this year”
