It was a battle of skill, determination, and sheer speed at the newly built sand track. As the MX1 bikes took to the track early on Sunday morning the crowd watched in awe as they witnessed the best riders in the country navigate their way around the challenging layout for the first time.

The MX1 race saw Harri Kullas put on a masterclass, leaving his competitors in the dust taking a 1-1 in the first round. The Crendon Fastrack Honda team of Conrad Mewse and Josh Gilbert gave it their all, but Kullas proved to be unstoppable as he powered his Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha towards victory.

The MX2 class was no less exciting, as Isak Gifting, Bobby Bruce, Jorgen- Matthias Talviku and Jake Milward battled it out on the track for top spot. Gifting showed incredible skill and determination as he pushed his Gas Gas to the limit taking home a 1-1 securing 50 points heading into the second round of the championship, with Bruce hot on his tail who went a 3-2 and a great first ride back. Milward made a valiant effort to catch up, but ultimately fell short overall coming third.

The crowd watched in amazement as the three riders gave it their all, leaving nothing on the track. In the end, it was Gifting who emerged victorious, cementing his place on top going 1-1 overall.

Billy Askew, Mckenzie Marshal, and Liam Bennett took to the track for the 250cc class, and it was Askew who stole the show with his bold and aggressive riding style. Marshal refused to let him get too far ahead, and the two battled it out until the very end. Bennett put up a strong fight, but was unable to keep pace with the two leaders. In the end, it was Askew who crossed the finish line first, securing his position as a top rider in the 250cc class.

In the MXY1 class Reece Jones, Wal Beaney, and Jake Walker took their respective places on the podium with impressive perofrmances in both races. In race one it was Jones who made an impressive start, quickly pulling away from the pack. Beaney put up a valiant effort to catch up, with Walker not far behind. But Jones proved to be too much for his competitors, displaying incredible skill and speed as he powered his KTM towards the finish line, enveutally finishing over one minute ahead of his opponents. The #104 took that momentum into race tow where he produced an equally dominant performance, crossing the line having lapped up to fifth place in the class.

The impressive crowd were treated to some great racing in the highly competitive big wheel 85cc class as Josh Vail, Charlie Richmond, and Drew Stock battled all day for their spots on the podium. In race one Vail took an early lead, showing impressive racecraft to master the challenging sand track on his KTM. Drew Stock put up a strong fight to catch up, putting in consistent lap times which matched those of the #479. In the end, it was Vail who emerged victorious. In race two Charlie Richmond got a much better start allowing him to battle inside the top 3 for much of the race. But it was Josh Vail once again who produced a masterclass to leave Borden with a 1-2 scorecard and the top step of the podium. Richmond finished a close second, while Stock took the third spot on the podium.

As the sun set on the track, the crowd cheered and applauded the top riders, who had put on an unforgettable display of skill and determination on a very challenging track.

The championship now heads to Canada Heights in Swanley, Kent on the 2nd April 2023 for round two of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship.
