David Knight MBE rolled back the years and made history by becoming the first winner of the new 2025 British XC Championship promoted by Edge Offroad at their fantastic Spaunton venue on Sunday.

The event attracted a fantastic entry and bodes well for the future of the series. Knight was pure class and finished a lap clear of his closest Premier class rival, Jack Price, on the Sherco, with Beta UK’s Jack Spencer in third.

Other winners were Peter Collins in the Experts, Jamie Fort in the Clubman, Shane Tasker in the Masters, Brooke Mudie in the Ladies, Sam Niebal in the Sportsman, Mark Raynor in the Over 50’s, Ben James in the Novice, Hayden Stansfield in the Under 19’s, and Steven Hopps in the Vets.

There was also an excellent Youth entry, with Joey Jones taking the victory in the Juniors, Dexter Hind as the victor in Youth A, Ellis Hurst taking the chequers in Youth B, and Skye Simpson-Jones as the Youth girl’s winner.



The next round takes place on the 23rd February at Leighton Hall.
