Kennett wins the battle! 2021 Battle of Britain Grasstrack – Results

The Frittenden & DMCC hosted their mighty fine Battle of Britain Grasstrack on Sunday in glorious weather, and with a great lineup for the returning spectators to enjoy.

Mark Cossar and Gareth Williams continued their great 2021 form by taking the 1000cc Sidecars win, while in the 500cc Sidecars Dan Berwick and Mark Hopkins rode a blinder to beat the Josh Goodwin/Mark Hopkins outfit.  Rob Heath & Kyle Fish took the honours in the Left Hand Sidecars.

Adam Shipp fended off young guns Cameron Taylor and Luke Harris to be the top dog in the 250’s, while over in the 350’s, stalwarts Mark Giles and Dave Mears resurrected an old rivalry with Giles winning three times to Mear’s one.

In the 500cc solos Edward Kennett put one over his rival James Shanes with a great win in the final with Jake Mulford landing a fantastic podium spot in his first year in the class.

Bob Dolman kept Rodney Mcdonald and Paul Knott at bay in the Uprights to claim the victory.
