Announcing a second partnership in as many weeks, Kenda and official importer Cambrian Tyres are pleased to confirm that the brand has become the official tyre of the Mick Extance Off-Road Experience Centre .
Run by the multi-time Dakar Rally finisher and based at a 1,500 acre site in North Wales’ Tanat Valley, the centre works with riders of all abilities to help develop not only their off-road, but also their general riding skills.
Clients who are having their first taste of off-road riding can hire one of their fleet of 300cc Beta X-Trainer motorcycles, or one of the smaller Honda CRF125 machines.
All of the Beta machines will now be fitted with Kenda Trakmaster road-legal motocross tyres, with an 80/100-21 front and 120/100-18 rear. Meanwhile the smaller Honda motorcycles will wear the Kenda Washougal II motocross tyre in 70/100-19 front and 90/100-16 rear.
As for Mick, his son Adam and the other instructors, they’ll be riding on Kenda’s popular range of enduro tyres.
With such a large swathe of forestry at their disposal, the team need a tyre which can perform on a wide variety of challenging terrain, and that’s where the Kenda K777F Enduro front and K779 Enduro rear come in.
Meanwhile, Adam will be using the softer K777F Knarly front and K779 Gauntlet rear combination to tackle the most extreme terrain available on site, where he regularly takes owner-riders to really challenge themselves while picking up tips and advice along the way.
On Friday 20th January, Cambrian Tyres Business Development Manager Richard Hemingway officially handed over the first batch of tyres to Adam Extance in order to mark the beginning of this exciting new partnership.
“We are really pleased to be announcing a second high-profile off-road partnership for 2023 in as many weeks” stated Richard. “From people who’ve never sat on a bike before through to experienced riders looking to improve their technique, Mick and team do it all with unrivalled professionalism. The variety of terrain available on-site is amazing, and it’s a brilliant location to showcase the versatility of our off-road tyre range which also has something for everyone, at every level.”
