In front of a packed crowd, Kellet beat his Yamaha teammate Milko Potisek, winner the previous week at Berck in the 2 and a half hour long race.

He quickly took the lead of the race, overtaking Alexis Collignon (KTM), who had the holeshot and who went on to finish 4th. Behind this duo, were Mathéo Miot (Honda), Jérémy Hauquier (KTM) and Daymond Martens (Honda). Potisek, the victim of two small falls, then returned to the chase, but he wasn’t able to catch Kellett who took his first Loon-Plage victory by 2.40 over his teammate.

In 3rd place, it was a newcomer to the sand, the Belgian Cyril Genot, 22, on a KTM but who will join the Honda SR team from the next round in Magescq.

Kellett posted on his social media after the race “P1 today at Round 2 of the CFS??? A tough first hour before settling down and pulling a gap ?? Massive thank you to everyone who makes it possible … we will continue working.”
