Josh Gilbert suffers dislocated shoulder at MXGP of Italy!

Josh Gilbert suffers dislocated shoulder at MXGP of Italy!

Gabriel SS24 KTM’s Josh Gilbert can’t seem to cut a break this year. With a number of injury issues already this season hampering his results, a great ninth in the Timed Practice session at the weekend’s MXGP of Italy in Maggoriora gave some hope, but unfortunately, he came down on the first bend of Saturday’s qualifying moto with the bike landing on him and dislocating his shoulder ruling him out for the rest of the GP and for an unknown period going forward.

The full statement from Josh on his social media reads:

“Just when I start to think I’m getting back to where I should be… felt really good yesterday despite the tricky conditions and qualified 9th in timed practice but unfortunately got caught up in a first turn crash in the qualifying race, a bike come down on me and dislocated my shoulder 🤦🏻‍♂️ thankfully it went back in okay and didn’t chip any bone but at this moment in time still unsure on my recovery. Never had a season quite like this! Thanks to the team and everyone behind me, let’s get on the recovery.. again 🥴”

We wish Josh a speedy recovery!
